To launch Aflac’s cause platform for pediatric cancer, we concepted a year-round, nationwide campaign, known as Duckprints. The campaign includes an experiential tour where the Aflac Duck traveled the nation visiting children’s cancer hospitals and honoring individuals who leave an impact in the fight against childhood cancer. Consumers are encouraged to share stories about their commitment, donate to the cause, and engage with the brand. In addition, a robust social media plan drives awareness based on Aflac matching donations through shares and retweets of Duckprints content. In its first year, the Youtube video vignette for Duckprints surpassed Aflac’s 2012 cause campaign by nearly 500%.
